A Sleepover

Hello everyone, well I had a special sleepover at nanny and pop's on friday night.  mummy and Daddy went to dinner and nan said I could stay the night, she is sooooooo cool, really.  So guess what happened we ended up at the emergency room at the hospital, cause nan got a really sore eye.  I had a chat to a lot of people while we were waiting, I like talking to people even if I don't know them, pretty soon I do and they all seem so friendly, all smiling at me and waving and stuff.  So in the morning at 5.30am I wake up, don't you?  And pop and nan get my bottle and tuck me up all cosy in the big King size bed between them and I have my bottle.

Then I always like a chat after brekky, nan and pop not so much, I think they were still sleepy so I thought well I'll have a bit more of a nap.  Come 7.30am we were all awake and I was having my vegemite sandwich. 

Oh yummy I love vegemite sandwiches.  Then nan and pop and my aunties came for dinner on Saturday night at my new house.  My Aunty Ink, well her real name is Aunty Ashleigh we call her Aunty Ink cause she got two tattoos, well she has a boyfriend and we were all checking him out.  I heard mummy and nanny talking and they think he's really nice.  I do too.

Oh I almost forgot, nan and pop have this really big spa bath and I had a bath with lots of  bubbles, do you love bubbles like I do so much fun.  You can eat them you know!

And hey it's my first birthday in 10 days yep yep yep siree I will be a whole one year old.  Yeah big party happening too, wanna come, you're welcome you know.

Fridays with Elle

Well surprise surprise, here I am back with Fridays with Elle, how exciting.  Yes i am supposed to be at child care today but I have been very sick this week.  Mummy took me to the doctors and he said I had croup, sounds like poop to me and that's exactly how I felt.  Oh yeah I was sick.  But as they say look for the silver lining in everything and I tell you what, when I am sick I get nursed.  Oh yeah big time nursed, all day, any time I want to, I even got nursed to sleep this week and that hasn't happened in a long, long time.  Now nanny told mummy that it would take a bit for me to stop wanting to be nursed all the time, is she kidding, I never want to stop being nursed, seriously.  My mummy is cuddly, my daddy is huge and big and strong and my nanny and poppy well they are squishy and comfortable.  Why would I ever want to stop being nursed.  Hey you guys can try and stop me and good luck with that!!!!

I will say it was interesting being back here today, I forgot I had all these toys here, nan's been coming to my new house lately, especially when I was sick and then mummy got sick too, so nanny was a real hero, really she is a genius and a life saver and really really modest too.

Oh I found this little ballon, wanna share with me really there isn't that much spit on it really!!!!

Umm and I am standing up a lot now, I still hang on to things, mostly just to keep all the oldies happy, I could probably take off running if I really wanted to.  And I have this crawling game I play with nanny, I crawl really fast and she chases me and picks me up and swings me in the air and I laugh really lots and then I do it again.  I don't know why but nanny ends up puffing and huffing and I'm just getting warmed up.  Anyway I sure love that game.

Oh and really exciting I have 4 more teeth on the top now, pop calls me his little piranha, ha I guess that's funny cause everyone laughs so I just go along with it.  Can you see my little piggy tail to mummy put them in for me, I left them in for a bit but hey what's a girl to do, I took them out.  Well off to get up to a little bit of mischief now so until next time,

Fridays with Elle

Swinging I love it, there it's out there I've said it, I love it, maybe even addicted to it, I don't know, but put me in the swing and give me lots of pushes and I am one happy baby girl!!!!

So nanny does that, she lives to make me happy, ha ha actually she does.  And the big news is this is my last Fridays with Elle post, yeah I know it's a shock, I am shocked but I am just the baby and I don't get a say in it.  My mummy and daddy have decided that I will be going to childcare on Thursdays and Fridays from next week.  Next year mummy goes back to work 4 days a week and I will have to go to childcare anyway, so it's just earlier than I thought it would be.  Daddy has a new job with a big electric company and he is working different hours and will be away sometimes and mummy is feeling a bit stressed.  So he decided to give her a break I would go to childcare.  I am pretty bored, I am very curious and very full on and I guess I wear mummy out.

So nanny is a bit upset and at first I thought she was gonna cry, but then like mummy said I can come here on any other day and I can sleep over and I can come on the weekends and well really nothing has changed except the day maybe.  I have loved coming here with nan and I know nan loves having me and when I see pop come in after work on Friday afternoons, I know he loves having me, his big face breaks into a smile and he goes all goo goo on me.  It makes me laugh.

So who knows what childcare will be like, but hey I'm up for it.  Nanny said that if mummy needs the time then it will be better for me and mum so that's okay with me.  I know nanny and pop, will always be around for me, no matter what day.

Ha ha I laugh when I see this photo nanny took, I was getting so relaxed in my swing, I was nearly nodding off.  Well hey it was pretty good.  So anyway till next time, not sure when, but not too long, be safe, be loved and try not to miss me too much okay!

Fridays with Elle

Hi everyone, guess what I am so excited I got to go to a wedding on Friday.  Yes I did, mummy and daddy got married, well not really cause they actually got married 4 years ago, but they dressed up like they were getting married again.  See mummy does some work for my enma (my other nanny) and she owns a wedding chapel and reception restaurant.  They wanted to do a television add and mummy and daddy were the stars.  Mummy got to come in a beautiful dress and in a horse drawn carriage.  It was a bit like a princess.

I thought she looked so beautiful.  Do you think so too?

It was really cold and windy and mummy was covered in goose bumps.  

When mummy and daddy really got married, daddy wanted mummy to wear a white dress and mummy wanted a coloured one so this time she chose an ivory one and she loved it.  Daddy went woo woot when he saw her, I think he liked what he saw ha ha!!

So here I am the star of the show, with daddy he is so big ya know!!!!!

When daddy picks me up I can see the whole world, and I know there isn't anyone who can get me cause my daddy wouldn't let them.  He says he loves me more than the whole world, well maybe not more than mummy but close.

I have the same colour eyes as him see.

When I was outside watching the horses come in poppy held me up high and I can see lots with him too.  One day I will be really big like them and I will see the whole world too.

My mummy's and daddy's wedding for me was fun.

Fridays with Elle

Okay first of all hello, now let me tell you I am not happy at the moment, well I am, but I'm not if you get me.  I have these little teeth popping up all over the darn place and I'm not sure if you remember what that is like or not, but it isn't pleasant.  No it isn't, I have pain, serious pain and I grizzle and I drool a bit and well, I'm just not always really happy at the moment.  Like today when Nanny tried to put me down for a little nap. well let me say I wasn't having it, no I wasn't.  So what is a girl to do, yell, well scream actually, yep like really scream.  Loud and long and kind of blood curdling you know.  Well I was sore, my mouth was sore and I was tired and I'd just had enough.  You could say I was naughty, I guess.

Not that you would know that to look at me hey, nan says I look like butter wouldn't melt in my mouth, I don't know if it would or not but I know I look like an angel.  Everyone tells me I am their little angel so I must look like one.

And my hair, well it just keeps growing like a house on fire, I think that means really quick!!!?  Anyway nan came running in, so funny ha ha, oh sorry nan, well it was funny.  And she picked me up and cuddled me, you know I love a cuddle and next thing I was asleep with a rusk in my mouth.  Now those rusks are good stuff, like you can eat them and you can suck on them and you can really give your gums a good massage with them, very handy things, those rusks.  So then I went for a nap, there are ways of getting me to do what you want you know, you just have to know what they are.

Everything I put in my mouth at the moment is chewed on and I don't just mean a nibble, I mean like full on chewed, gnawed even, my gums hurt okay.  What can I say.  So I am hoping soon that I can chew on a steak, chicken leg, hamburger, yep well what's the point of teeth if you can't eat the good stuff.  And I will be one soon yep like 8 weeks and I will be a whole year old, can you believe that?  Can you see any wrinkles?  Let me know the minute you do okay, I am off to the wrinkle remover as soon as I see any.  Nan says wrinkles are the bane of her life?????? What is that?????? But if they are that bad I don't want any, so I am relying on you guys to make sure you tell me as soon as you see any, not kidding now.  Gotta go gnaw on something cold now, so till next week, be loved, be safe and be happy.

Fridays with Elle

Okay so it's Friday again and guess what I am having a sleepover at nannies tonight yeah!!! Daddy is taking mummy out for a romantic dinner I love my mummy and daddy soooooo much. So I get to stay here with nan and pop, oh and I've got a cold. Yucky I don't like colds, my nose gets clogged up and I'm not hungry and I don't want my bottle at all. 

I do like balloons though, they are fun.  And I like my jacket with the pooh bear ears, what do you think, cute or what?

Hmm I think nanny like my jacket she smiled so big when she put it on me.  I wear it like a dressing gown in the mornings you know, cause it's really cold here now in the mornings.

I am feeling a bit better this morning, so I drank my whole bottle, pop is good at giving me the bottle, he is no good at all at changing pooie nappy's though ha ha I got ya pop hahahahaha!!!

Nanny says she is gonna find me a playgroup to go to on Fridays, so maybe next week I'll have really interesting things to show you.

But for now I gotta go okay,

Okay howdy there guys, now let's just get something out of the way, I am officially a Crawler,, Ta Da!!!!!  Now funny thing though that to be a crawler is not always a good thing over here in the Land Downunder.  To be a crawler means you grovel up to people, like you say nice things to them to get in the good books and stuff so I am just clearing things up here, I am not that sort of crawler okay.  I am a mover and shaker type of crawler, you know on all fours and motoring.  Yep that's me and to prove it, here I am in action, yeah I know a picture of my cutie patootie, my toosh, my bootie licious bootie, yep my big ole butt.  How darn cute is that!!!!?

I am all over the place now and quick, well you just go blink and eye and I am outta here.  There is so much stuff to discover now.

Like this little beauty, she was really quiet and didn't wanna talk, but she is pretty.  Nan wouldn't let me get too close, she says her name is Dorothy and she is really old, and came out on a boat from England about 60 years ago with my Nanny Brenda. That is nan's mummy by the way and she is really really old, cause I know nan is really old too.

See what I mean stuff to find, this crawling is cool.

And I made another discovery today, lolly pops, yep, well I think I have told you that my mummy says I am not, NOT allowed to have lollies, bummer I know, but I'm not and when I visited Kimmy and Aunty Jane today, well Kimmy had a lolly pop, a red one too, I bet they would be my favourite if I ever had one.  I wanted it, I stared at it, I was drooling, well actually I do that sometimes anyway, but you get the picture.  Well suddenly Aunty Jane gave me one, yep right there in my little hand was a red, yes RED lolly pop.  I put it straight in my mouth, what else would I do really and man oh man it was good.  Now I know my nan is quick off the mark, but you shoulda seen her move, when I go that lolly.  She was up and over and had the darn thing outta my mouth that quick it's like a dream.  Did it really happen did I actually get to taste that sweet, sticky sugary goodness.  Did I or did I dream it, I'm not sure now you know.  Anyway I heard nan tell Aunty Jane that mummy says I can't have lollies and Aunty Jane was like all sorry and that and I'm like hey don't worry no harm no foul, I was lovin' it.  Oh well one day I might actually get to have more than a quick suck, maybe I'll get to eat the whole darn thing.  Until then I have the memory however brief of the glory day of my first lolly pop.

This is Arrabella too by the way, another friend for me,  I tell you what, Kimmy has some friends.  There is always a visitor at her house, so much fun.

We all sat together and watched Dora the Explorer, good music to dance to.

I also had my first vegemite experience today, well I think it was my first, I can't remember having it before and nan says I would if I had had it.  And ya know what I love it.  It is black and you know I like black things, look at Kimmy and Jane and all my African friends, they are all black.  So I was pretty keen to have a try.  Nan says she doesn't know any American people who like vegemite, it must be an Aussie thing hey?

And I discovered my fingers, really up close ya know.  Like I've seen them before, I've always known they were there, but look I really noticed them today, they are pretty amazing actually.

Hmm yep it's official I love, love, love good ole vegemite yum.

And bubbles, yep I love bubbles too and I'm not talking about my Aunty Carmel either, though she is a pretty good sort!!!! Ha ha I don't know what I've said but nan is laughing her head off here, any way these bubbles, this is what I love.  Nanny was blowing them for me while I had a swing on the deck.  They make me squint a bit, cause they kinda come at me, but I love them.  Nanny says all the girls in this family liked bubbles when they were little, only nanny liked them best and when she would get a bubble blower she would never let my aunties or my mummy blow them.  So sometimes they would all leave and just nanny would be sitting there blowing bubbles ha ha, that makes me laugh.  Silly old nanny.

Yep, today was a good day, I met the girl in the chair, called Dorothy, going back to check her out again real soon, hope nanny doesn't catch me though, then I got my first suck of a lolly pop, yum yum, a new friend Arrabella, a vegemite sandwich first too, I liked that as well and BUBBLES, yeah what a day.  So I am going to go have a rest now, too much for one day really.

Fridays with Elle

Here we are again happy as can be, all good friends and jolly good company, ha ha!!! Well we are aren't we, good friends I mean?  Yep of course we are.  So Nan and I went to the Japanese Gardens today, and we fed the ducks, I love animals, birds, nan's chickens I love all of them, even my crazy jumping dogs ha ha!

So I really enjoyed the Japanese Gardens, lots of ducks and lovely walkways, I get bored easily so nan has to keep finding new ways to keep me occupied and it's not easy, well so she tells me.  I don't see a problem myself, it's easy, pick me up, walk with me, carry me here and there, give me a bottle and some food, carry me some more, no problems.  What do you think easy hey!!?

Oh oh oh exciting, super exciting, earth shattering news, I crawled on Wednesday afternoon, Yeah for me I am a legend!!!!!! Yep down on all fours and off I went, a little bit slow at first it's all this coordination stuff hey and then quicker, quicker, and the only real problem I had was I didn't look up to see where I was going and I ran into a few things, ouch it hurt too.  

And oh another exciting thing was I got to come to nan's on Thursday as well this week, mummy had an appointment and it was meant to take like an hour or so and it took 4 hours, so luckily nanny had said maybe I should come to her house so mummy could go on her own.  I would not have been happy about being stuck in that place mummy went for 4 hours I can tell you.

Ta Da see here I am on my way to the DVD's that nan has in her lounge, who knew that they could be so much fun?

I found Oprah on Thursday and I have to say I am ready for an afternoon of the Big O and I don't mean Roy Orbison, ha ha you do know who Roy Orbison is don't you?  Remember these songs, Blue Bayoo, Workin' for the Man, well you get it.

Sprung, I know I have a really guilty look on my face like I've been busted doing something I shouldn't be and I never do stuff like that really never!!!!  Well maybe just sometimes, only little things though.

But really butter wouldn't melt in my mouth, you believe me don't ya!!!! 

Well off now things to explore, there is a great big world out there just waiting for me to discover it and here I come!!!!!!!!
