I sat on the deck on Friday afternoon and as the sun started to go down all the birds came for dinner.  First the galahs, with their bright pink shirts and grey coats.

Some resting a while, others busily eating the grain I put out for them.  One even showing off and swinging on the palm frond.
Then the rainbow lorikeets came, squawking and tussling each other, playing like clowns together.
Really like little rainbows jumping around.  They even let a little green parrot join them.
I guess they figured there was enough for everyone.
Oh and the Princess came to visit, so darn cute in her little stockings and pink and brown shoes.

We went shopping for slippers and came home with a big pink ball, a stroller for a little baby doll and a baby doll, I can't resist spoiling her.

This smile gets me every time, truly I adore her.
And from behind she is a little girl on a mission, can you guess how many times we walked round the driveway, go on try and if you say under a dozen you're cold ha ha.
Poppy is doting again, lucky I am not jealous of this little pumpkin.

  2. Kim I am so glad I can comment today. I would be an avid birdwatcher if I had birds like that in my neighbor hood. I think I have color when a robin comes. lol. Those rainbow birds are beautiful. Little Elle looks adorable, how can you resist that smile, well obviously not. Poppy looks so good with her. Your little angel. so happy for you sweetie. hope you are well. our last snow melted, I had two days in the yard and then more snow...but hopefully soon I can get into my yard. One of my friends said she thinks the weather is bipolar this year, I am tending to believe it. hugs to you dear friend.

  5. Hi Kim, found your blog through a comment you left on my blog. I love the photos of the birds! How incrediblly colorful the lorikeets are and I love the pink shirts/feathers of the galahs. I've never seen (nor heard of) a galah. Not forgetting your granddaughter, she's beautiful! What a great age she is. I'm bookmarking Kim's Box of Chocolate!
