Killer Snake on the Loose

I'm not sure if you know but apparently Australia is home to the 5 deadliest animals/reptiles in the world.  To name just some of the little beasties that roam our beautiful country, and it is beautiful in spite of the nasties, we have above the Eastern Brown snake it is the WORLD'S 2nd deadliest snake and this one was going for a little wander around my circular driveway today.  It amazed me just how deadly a clay pot base could be though.  Given it was tossed, no more like hurled with great force at this guy as I jumped backwards with the speed of Wonder Woman.  We also have the Box Jelly Fish, not likely to encounter one of them up here on the hill, thankfully, the Tiger Snake, the Taipan or Fierce snake, the Funnel Web Spider, yep we have them around here.  Also the Red Bellied Black snake and the Blue Ringed Octopus, wow they sound pretty hey, but they are a little bit bad, actually a lot bad.
So I was extremely brave, terrified actually, as I manned up and killed this fellow today.  Now I don't usually go out of my way to kill any animal, well only mice, cockroaches and the odd spider okay, but generally I am very kind to nature, but I draw the line at showing any sympathy the slithering legless variety, I was just extremely happy I didn't miss it and that it died.  Eeek!!!
Now for something completely different a little more of my Girls... Elle's Angels I call them..
I wanted to do a girl in trousers, don't ask me why, I just did!?  The text didn't come out to well, it says "She knew she time was on her side".
I was thinking of my mum when I created this girl, not that my mum does or ever has had long dark hair, but she was always terribly trendy and well I just thought she might look a little like this.  The text says "Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not", I love that.

  1. I am so glad you have good aim! I was just telling my daughter how jealous I was because you have Kangaroos in your backyard but now I'm not so jealous! Love your art work.

  2. Oh goodness...totally nauseous. I'm completely phobic about snakes. We have a few in the UK, but they are very rare. Ek, feel really quite sick!
