Yellow

Honestly how can you not stare with a smile on your face when you come across a field of beautiful shiny sunny sunflowers?  Adrian told me there was a field in bloom about 30 mins from us and I took another country drive today and discovered them.
Acres and acres of rolling yellow faces.  Most turned away from me following the sun. Beautiful really.
I wanted to pick some and bring them home big vases filled with yellow sunshine.
Don't you love them?
Then I drove to a tiny deserted town called Acland.  Taken over by a coal mining company, it is now a ghost town.  Tomorrow the pictures for you.
Lastly I played with this picture not sure how I feel about it thought I'd show you though.
Kind of dark and gloomy, what do you think?

  2. I can not believe you have sunflowers right now! I'd love to see their sunny faces but we will have to wait another 5 or 6 months. I like the grungy image above the last one. Yes the effect does take the fun out of the bright flowers but it is still interesting.
