Honestly how can you not stare with a smile on your face when you come across a field of beautiful shiny sunny sunflowers? Adrian told me there was a field in bloom about 30 mins from us and I took another country drive today and discovered them.
Acres and acres of rolling yellow faces. Most turned away from me following the sun. Beautiful really.
I wanted to pick some and bring them home big vases filled with yellow sunshine.

Then I drove to a tiny deserted town called Acland. Taken over by a coal mining company, it is now a ghost town. Tomorrow the pictures for you.
Lastly I played with this picture not sure how I feel about it thought I'd show you though.

ReplyDeleteI can not believe you have sunflowers right now! I'd love to see their sunny faces but we will have to wait another 5 or 6 months. I like the grungy image above the last one. Yes the effect does take the fun out of the bright flowers but it is still interesting.
