Where is the sun

Out walking yesterday at Lake Annand I shot a couple of pics.  The rain has begun again so my days of floating in the pool are over for now.  The floods will be worse now and those poor people up north I just don't know how they are managing.  Our creek is running again, full force through the little gully. The chickens are hiding in their house, wet and fluffy.
Sitting on a seat in the park and peering through the green tent, I spotted a tiny boy on his so bright bike, his dad running with him and laughter ringing out.
This sweet brown duck with it's jewel of blue in full view for all to see, floated past.  Even his little legs were calm, the rain was gone all was good.
Little diamonds hung in the air for a second then smashed on the rocks and became one with the others.
Where has summer gone, where will this water go

Today in History:
1540 - England's King Henry VII weds his fourth wife, Anne of Cleeves.  The marriage lasts 6 months.
1941 - US President Franklin D. Roosevelt defines American goals of "Four Freedoms" - freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want and freedom from fear.
1963 - Iran's Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi launches his "white revolution", including redistributing land to peasants and giving women the vote.

Giggle:   The most effective way to remember your wife's birthday is to forget it once.

  2. That duck is gorgeous! So glad the flooding hasn't impacted you, but I feel for your neighbors to the north.

  3. I have been thinking about you today as I listened to the news of the floods. I am glad you do not live in that part of the country. The sun will come out sooner or later ;)
