Day 24
It is getting warmer by the day here, and it should Spring is sprung as they say. In the pond near our front door, some frogs have taken up residence, calling to each other throughout the day. A song almost, you know Jeremiah was a bullfrog, was a good friend of mine, I never understood a single word he said, but I helped him to drink his wine, he sure had some mighty fine wine. Oh boy those were the days, takes me back. Do you remember that one?
So the icy lemon water is on the way in. I love yellow lemons, love love them.
Oh and we had a couple of visitors on the weekend....
How cute are these two, white cockatoos. They have bright yellow feathers on their heads, but you can't see them until they spread them out. They can be very noisy when they want too. Thankfully they just dropped by for a feed and flew off.
The Santa Claus flowers are out now too, do you blow and make a wish, well if you do here's one for you, go on wish........
OK, I found your blog after reading about your *gift of jewels* to Tracey. I came right over to check you out. ;) I've read two postings so far, but I'm in love with you for this one! Your "Santa Claus Flower" looks like a dandelion flower to me. If it is, I sure like your name for it better than ours here in the United States! They are considered weeds and when my son was very young and I encouraged him to blow the flower, I was lectured by friend for the weeds my son was making! What a big ol' party pooper he was!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love seeing the cockatoos at the feeder! I would have never thought they'd come to a feeder like that. What a treat for me to see that! Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
Yes, I do remember that song. Still a favorite. Brings back a lot of good memories.
