DAY 3 - IN MY KITCHEN
Finally I feel like I have produced a photograph I am happy with. My kitchen project kicked off really slowly and that is never a good thing. I like to take off at a full speed bolt and then realise I should pace myself, but this didn't quite happen this time. My idea is to just make myself find simple things to shoot, that are sitting in my kitchen somewhere waiting to be discovered. Being a lover of food photos I first decided that I didn't want my shots to be all the dinners we ate over the month. I wanted to discover hidden treasures waiting to be snapped and yesterday I finally felt like I did. I also wanted to discover new ways of highlighting the items. Hence the striped patterned paper with the cake sprinkles. I think it works really well. I love macro shots and I love colour so for me this works pretty well. What do you think? Can you do something similar and link for me to compere and see how I could do this differently?
I have to remember I do have a style, I may not quite know what it is yet, but the photographs that make me the happiest are probably the ones that encompass my style the best. So I am going to continue on this little photo blog journey and see where it leads me. Please join me.
You hit it out of the park today - wonderful
ReplyDeleteOne of hardest things I found about photography was to find my own style. I think it's harder for us to see our own style then for others to see it.
ReplyDeleteKeep taking photos and keep asking your self what you like about your images and what you think you could improve on and your style will keep developing.
Oh wow thanks Jamie
ReplyDeleteLiss thanks you inspire me with your wonderful pics. so thank you
I love the echoes of color all around this image. The stripes and dots and happy-making feel of it.
