A White Christmas

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas,...oh that would be soooo nice right now.  A white snowy, cold, frosty, fire warmed Christmas.  Instead I am sitting with the shades drawn to keep out the heat and sun, the fan is on high, I could have the air con on but I am trying to do my bit to reduce my carbon footprint and only turn on the air late in the afternoon.  I bought a white tree though, and sprinkled it with blue, pink and purple decorations.  It is my attempt at a white Christmas.

Bing Crosby was just like me and he dreamt of a white christmas too, remember?
White Christmas !

The song White Christmas is undoubtedly the most famous and popular of all the Christmas songs. The music and lyrics for White Christmas were written by Irving Berlin in 1942 and originally featured in the movie Holiday Inn starring Bing Crosby. The lyrics of White Christmas struck a chord with the soldiers fighting in the Second World War and their families who were waiting for them back home. The song and recording of White Christmas by Bing Crosby with John Scott Trotter's orchestra and the Ken Darby Singers was so popular that it was later reprised in the movie called after its name - White Christmas. The film White Christmas once again starred Bing Crosby together with Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen.

Sing a long with me now.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

Just like the ones I used to know

Where the treetops glisten,

and children listen

To hear sleigh bells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

With every Christmas card I write

May your days be merry and bright

And may all your Christmases be white

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

With every Christmas card I write

May your days be merry and bright

And may all your Christmases be white

Classic Christmas isn't it!

Now if you would be so kind, I have been having a little fiddle with some pendants, tell me what you think please?  I am wondering if maybe I should sell some, but I'd like to give a few away first, I just love giving stuff to people.  I'm not sure if they are good enough yet to sell so I really would like to send some to you if you'd like and give me your opinion.

Some of the images like the little birds above and the boy and girl holding hands in the first set of photos, are vintage from old childrens books.  Others are beautiful crafting papers, some I have embellished myself.  The glass discs are lovely and clear and the bails (clasps for chain) are sterling silver.  I really would love to send you a pendant, get your totally honest opinion and just have a bit of fun, this close to Christmas.  Post a comment if you would like a little gift.

  4. thanks girls, I don't want it to be comp I just want to send a few out and get your opinion on the level of the work. I want to sell them when I have perfected them, but being a perfectionist and a procrastinator, I will probably never think they are good enough. So I thought some people who have the bonus of distance might give me their opinion. My friends would just say yeah they are great sell them. I want the absolute truth.
