Here we are again and once again the week has flown by and I am amazed that it is Tuesday already. Really what in the world is happening to time these days?
So todays brief for Texture Tuesday was to use Kim's texture And Then Some. It is a lovely texture I have to say.
Straight out of the camera above and with the texture the first photograph.
Recipe:
First layer made black and white at 86% opacity
layer of And Then Some on colour burn at 78%
a brightness and contrast fiddle
adjustment of levels to taste
and a layer of JJ Scully brushes (the numbers you can see in the bottom corners and top left corner) I love these grungy brushes.
I really love the look of the layered photo. I think it is really grungy and a bit vintage looking I prefer it to the original and that is the effect I like to get from playing with the editing.
So today I am off to celebrate the Melbourne Cup the horse race that stops the nation, so they say and rightly so. I haven't been to a Melbourne Cup luncheon in years, stopped going when we started going to church, it wasn't really acceptable. But today I am going with Adrian's sisters and we will have a buffet lunch and a couple of bets on the race. Cross your fingers for me okay.
I love the contrast of the light buds and the background . . .this is a beuatiful piece of work . . .lovely. Teresa x
