See here are my lovely horses. Well technically they aren't mine, but that's my fence they are at and I am on the other side sneekily feeding them granny smiths and carrots, so for now they are mine. I am not particularly a horse lover, in fact they frighten me a bit, they are big. I was out in the garden just snapping away yesterday when I heard that snuffling noise they make. I snuck over not wanting to scare them away and they stood looking at me wondering what on earth I was doing. When I would snap a shot the sound would make them a bit jittery so I raced inside and brought out an apple and carrot. The brown guy/girl don't ask me I have no idea what they are was very interested. I know you are supposed to flatten your hand out and put the food on the palm but I was too nervous for that. So I am gingerly holding out the apple piece which fell on the ground several times while the horse was trying to get it. Eventually I threw in over the fence and they had to snuffle them off the grass. Then much slurping and chewing and dribbling ensued. Eeww see that's why big sloppy animals aren't my thing.
Eventually I just put the apple piece on the fence post well that didn't work either so back to tossing it over the fence. I felt a bit sorry for the white horse. It is really dirty and it's mane is kind of matted and it's fur/hair what do they have is in need of a good scrub and brush. It has a sore on its face too. I hate to see animals that aren't just pampered. See i am not a farmer at all. I would have little houses scattered around the paddocks for the animals to get out of the weather. Little coats for them to put on and it would take me all day to make sure everyone was ok. Alicia's mother in law says if you have livestock you have dead stock and I hate that. I just would be too much of a softy to have a proper farm happening. So for now I will feed the neighbours horses now and then.
Does it look like it has a little smile on its face to you?
Well I am off to coffee with a friend, then maybe a little shopping, hmm maybe a bit more than a little I'm in the mood. So check you later.
